I told myself I wasn’t going to get worked up over the NHL All-Star Game. I said to myself “It’s only relation to real hockey is that it’s on the ice, everything else is bullcrap.” I promised myself I was over Pazzy’s snub, and that it was all just a show anyways.
And then… Rick Nash scored a hat-trick. 3 breakaway beauties at that. Hell, the first one was an All-Star record (although the fine folks at VS. may have had a hand in it). I still thought it was great. Way to Carry the Flag, as they say.
And what does he get for his hard work? Another snub, MVP went to Eric Staal, and his 2 G, 1 A.
Look, NHL, what do you want from Columbus… blood? You’re the one who put a franchise there. Yes, they were a joke for years, but now they’re starting to turn the corner and all they’re getting from the league is a cold shoulder? Give me a break!
I told myself I wasn’t going to get upset… I mean, it’s the All-Star Game! I wasn’t even going to watch it!

Agreed, I’m not that big of a Jackets fan, but that was a shame.
While that was pretty damn sweet, I’m still amazed at that goliath from Boston hitting 103.1 in the hardest shot on Saturday. Holy crap.
