Shag on Sports Oh no. Not Again.

This is awesome.

It’s got everything… including a rip on Eli.

Cleveland 109, Boston 104 (OT) - Lebron says “I” doesn’t need to be in “team”.

Rasta Ricky’s Done - Leave all “medicinal marijuana” jokes at the door.

Detroit 5, Calgary 3 - Red Wings continue to distance themselves from the “unwashed” in the Central.

NBA: Boston @ Cleveland - Lebron “held” to 25 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds.

NHL: Calgary @ Detroit - Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie, Oy Oy Oy!

Scripted TV: House - Will Cutthroat Bitch finally get fired? Will Kumar find White Castle?

Gilbert Arenas is bummin’.

I guess after I got my second MRI and I was cleared to go full speed, I finally went full speed and ended up tearing cartilage. I had to get surgery and I ended up with a meniscus tear and a microfracture on my non weight-bearing part of the bone in my left knee.

But wait, there’s more…

You know what? When stuff goes bad it goes bad. I just broke up with my girlfriend and I don’t get to see my kids for a while because of the breakup.

You ask for space, you know, because everything feels closed in … the house is dirty, the kids are drawing on the walls and on the couches and you’re thinking, “Oh man, I can’t do this. I’m not playing well and I’m coming home to all this.”

So you ask for space and now you got clean walls, clean furniture and you’re lonely.

So Arenas feels the pressure of having a job and a family… and he ditches the family? Sounds like another great father of our time…

“You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is ‘never try’.”

How much is a Brazilian?

CLEVELAND — Free agent Anderson Varejao, who helped Cleveland make its first NBA Finals last season, has grown so frustrated with stalled contract talks that he no longer wants to play again for the Cavaliers.

-snip-

Before training camp opened, Varejao turned down the club’s one-year, $1.2 million qualifying offer. If he had signed that deal, the former second-round pick could have become an unrestricted free agent after this season.

-snip-

In late October, a six-year, $52 million package loaded with incentives was presented by Fegan and rejected by the Cavs.

In his interview with ESPN.com, Varejao said reports that he has asked for $10 million to $11 million a season “aren’t true.”

Lebron is doing his best Atlas impression, lifting his team on his shoulders by putting up ungodly numbers (4 triple-doubles?!). And it’s not like Varejao was helping on any front other than the “intangible” of drawing charges (read: “how dare you run into Matt Stone like that!”). But at 8 and 6, soon to be 8 and 7 after the Celtics scorch the earth under Gund Quicken Loans Arena, the Cavs need all the help they can get. If it’s true that they’re still interested in Varejao, then I think it’s time for them to cave.
